Heat "Dehydag" Wax SX, "Cetiol" V, Lanolin, petrolatum, and bismuth gallate on the water bath to 70-80C (158-176F). Dissolve Procaine, Witch Hazel Extract, and preservative in the water, likewise heated to 70-80C (158-176F), and stir these into the molten fats.
Emulsification takes place while stirring until cold. Into resultant ointment incorporate the zinc oxide and rice starch at room temperature. Finally pass the finished ointment through a roller mill and fill into tubes or other suitable containers. |
