The Smoked Sheets are banded on a cool, tight mill and masticated for 5 minutes. The zinc oxide, stearic acid, "Dixie Clay," and calcium carbonate are all added together. The sulfur is added last. The total milling time should be no longer than ten minutes.
This mixture plus "Neville" LX-685, 125 is then added to the toluene under agitation.
The "Butyl Eight" is added last.
NOTE: The "Butyl Eight" should always be added to the mixture just before use as this compound will set in 12-36 hours at room temperature when the "Butyl Eight" is present. |
