Aside from serving as a base polymer in its own right, this intermediate has been evaluated in conjunction with butyl and other rubbers as a tackifier, plasticizer and auxiliary binder in caulks, sealing tapes, and other mastic applications. It also is suggested as a tackifier and adhesion aid in dry rubber, sponge gaskets and sealants. |
