For adhesion to metals Hycar phenolic primer (4) is often useful. To prepare this primer, the Hycar 1072 is broken down on a cold, tight mill for min. Immediately after mixing, the Hycar 1072 is added to the other ingredients in a paint-type can and rolled overnight. The primer is painted onto a clean metal surface and allowed to dry. The rubber is cured in contact with the primed surface. |
