Mix 500 parts by weight A with 124 parts by weight B. Mixing may be done at room temperature by hand. Care should be taken to avoid vapor inhalation or skin contact.
Reaction proceeds upon mixing, the work life is approximately one hour.
A tack free surface develops within 5-6 hr at room temperature with final cure within 10-11 hr. A cure schedule of 10-15 min at 250F may also be employed. Thixotropic agents may be added to the formulation to achieve shear-thinnable paste-like consistencies. Such formulations may also be useful together with wood flour in patching (and thereby upgrading) lumber and plywood. |
