The stability of the emulsions is improved by using perfume oils soluble in the propellants.
To prepare this shaving cream, the cetyl alcohol, lanolin, mineral oil, and the stearic acid or glycerin are heated together to 70C. The foaming and wetting agents are mixed in half the water and are also heated to 70C. The oil phase is added to the water solution with stirring, then the remainder of the water is added, mixed well, and the perfume added. The cream is then stirred again until cool. |
