Wet the gums well, adding glycol and lanolin derivative ("Solulan" 98) to them. Add water, agitate well with an Eppenbach-type mixer. Then add alcohol (together with any perfume and color, if desired) effecting complete dispersion of the "Methocel" and "carbopol." Allow mixture to deaerate. Add triethanolamine with slow, but thorough stirring.
the dipropylene glycol may be substituted by sorbitol, glycerol, etc. |
