Medicaments, such as germicidal agents (including antibiotics) and anti-inflammatory drugs, may be incorporated in copolymer formulations designed to protect superficial wounds or treat various pyogenic skin infections. This permits intimate contact between the healing ingredient and the abraded tissue. A product of this type may also be of interest in veterinary medicine and in surgery. In the case incisions, transparency of the "bandage" would be a distinct advantage. |
