1. Withdraw a small portion of the triglyceride of saturated fatty
acids to dissolve the hormones by warming and stirring. Dissolve the
propyl paraben in the same warm solution. 2. Add all other ingredients
together and stir, all dissolving easily in the cold. 3. Add the hormone
solution and stir. 4. Bioassay for hormone content should be 10,000 I.U.
estrogen per ounce (1 mg per oz.).

1. Add the first 7 ingredients in the mixing vessel, retaining a part of the triglyceride of saturated fatty acids to dissolve the hormones. 2. Heat the oil phase to 85C to melt and dissolve all ingredients. 3. After the hormones have been dissolved by heating, add this solution to the oil phase in Step 2. 4. Add the next 5 ingredients, the water phase, and heat with stirring to 85C. 5.Add the water phase at 85C slowly to the oil phase at 85C with proper mixing. 6. Cool slowly to room temperature, and add the perfume at 40C. 7. Bioassay for hormone content should be 10,000 I.U. estrogen per ounce (mg per oz.).
8. The body of the lotion can be controlled by change in the stearic acid content. |
