Heat 650 parts of deionized water to 75C, plus or minus three degrees, and sprinkle in "Oat-Pro" while mixing with a high shear propeller type stirrer. Heat first five ingredients to 92C, plus or minus two degrees, while stirring slowly to prevent air entrapment.
dissolve sodium hydroxide and 100 parts water. While maintaining the "Oil" mixture at 92C, plus or minus two degrees, slowly add aliquots of the "Oat-Pro" dispersion and sodium hydroxide solution, alternating between the "Oat-Pro" and sodium hydroxide. Maintain the temperature for one hour after completing the addition of "Oat-Pro" and sodium hydroxide while continuing to stir the batch slowly. Cool to 68C, plus or minus two degrees, and add perfume and color. Continue cooling to about 25C.
This product can be processed to remove excess moisture, by applying a vacuum during the compounding operation. The product can also be warmed to about 45C for 24 hrs prior to pressing to facilitate moisture removal. |
