Preparation Stick No.1---Melt CARBOWAX polyethylene glycol 4000, add the triethanolamine and oxalic acid, and stir until the acid crystals disappear.
Stick No.2---Melt CARBOWAX polyethylene glycol 4000, add CARBITOL solvent and stir in finely powdered sodium bisulfite.
In each case, stir until fairly viscous creams, just thin enough to pour, are obtained. Then pour into molds or metal containers, stirring well before each pouring to assure uniform distribution of the ingredients.
If a slightly softer stick No.2 is desired, replace 7 to 10 lb of CARBOWAX 4000 with CARBITOL solvent. Other stain removing ingredients can be used with CARBOWAX polyethylene glycol as the carrier.
directions for Using Stain Remover Sticks 1. Lay the spotted fabric on a folded, clean cloth, with the soiled side of the fabric on the cloth. using another small, clean cloth, apply water to the spot with a daubing action until no more color from the ink spot can be removed onto the undercloth.
