For ease of preparation, the required amount of latex E-284 may be mixed with twice that volume of water, plus the calculated amount of alcohol. This blend is then added to the balance of the prepared formula. The introduction of the dye is most easily handled if a 0.05%-water solution is prepared as a stock mix. Experience indicates the color disperses readily and uniformly with no difficulty. |
