The disinfectant base solution is prepared by mixing the "Hyamine" 3500 and the isopropanol, then adding the water. The nonionic surfactant, "Igepal" CO 880, is added last. Since this is a low melting solid, its dissolution is accomplished quicker if it is first liquefied by gentle heating. If this is not possible, one can add the solid "Igepal" and still obtain a clear solution by stirring until the solid is dissolved. |
