| 配制方法： |
The orange oil and the brominated vegetable oil are mixed thoroughly together. The specific gravity of the mixture is taken with the aid of a special hydrometer that can be read to the third decimal point. The specific gravity of the mixture would be about 1.025 at 70F. (21C.).
If it is not, then the specific gravity must be adjusted by adding brominated vegetable oil or conversely orange oil, depending on whether the specific gravity is less than or more than 1.025. The gum arabic is stirred in and stirring is continued until all the lumps have disappeared. Sufficient water is added to bring the total volume to 100 liters. The mixture is stirred thoroughly and is passed through a homogenizer.
If coloring matter is to be used, it is added and the mixture stirred until the color is dissolved; then it may be passed through the homogenizer again. It is preferable to dissolve the color and sodium benzoate in a portion of the water, adding it before the first homogenizer pass.
