The solution of polyvinylpyrrolidone is prepared as for No.1.
Instead of diluting to 100 cc, the polyvinylpyrrolidone-polyethylene glycol-600 solution is diluted to 75 cc and warmed on a water bath. The acetylated monoglyceride is melted onn a water bath and poured into the warm ethanolic solution of polyvinylpyrrolidone. This solution is diluted to 100 cc with the ethanol.
Approximately 500 tablets are placed in the coating pan and compressed air is applied to remove any dust or loose powder. No. sub-coat is applied. Nine cc of coating solution No.1, containing 10 per cent polyvinylpyrrolidone is applied to the tablets just to wet them. The tablets are stirred by hand to distribute the solution, then the pan is allowed to rotate. At the end of a 2-minute interval warm air is applied and the tablets are allowed to rotate another 2 minutes.
