Dow Corning 8 Emulsion may be applied in dilute form to boxes or patterns by dipping, brushing or low-pressure spraying.
A single, light application of dilute Dow Corning 8 Emulsion remains effective through several cycles. However, many producers of shell cores or shell molds prefer to use an extremelydiluted solution and apply it every cycle---thereby eliminating the need to keep count of cycles between applications. Application at every cycle assures a consistently uniform silicone coating, and uninterrupted service . . . keeps scrap to an absolute minimum.
Diluting and preparing production mix. while stirring Dow Corning 8 Emulsion, add water required to obtain the desired dilution. Stir until milk-white mixture is uniform. A days supply of dilute parting agent can be mixed at one time; it resists both creaming and separation.
