Solutions of the phosphate salts of "Ethomeens" S/12 and S/15, 18/12
and 18/15-both chemical and oilless solutions-are used in cutting or
drawing operations by immersing the surface of the metal in the amine
bath, by spraying, or by pouring the "Ethomeen" phosphate solution on to
the metal surfaces before it is subjected to the metal-working
operations.

The nonionic "Ethofat" 242/25 enhances the emulsifying action and spreading effect of the "Ethomeens.""Ethomeens" C/12, C/15, S/12 and S/15 are recommended at a concentration of up to 10% in mineral oil, followed by dilution with 10-25 parts of water. In addition to being good emulsifiers, the "Ethomeens" act as corrosion inhibitors to prevent rusting during metal-working operations. |
