Colloidal Clay/4 oz
This is best made in a steam-jacketed kettle provided with a
mechanical agitator. Run the soap solution into the kettle and add the
colloidal clay. Agitate until the clay has absorbed all the water it
will, keeping the mixture hot. Shut off the heat and stir in the benzol
to kill the froth. Then add the latex emulsion and continue to agitate
until a perfectly even mixture is obtained.
