This formulation has been prepared in 2 kg batches in a 1.3 gal ball mill half filled with 1.25 in. "Burundum" cylinders.
Add all ingredients, except the "Kelzan," to the mill in the order listed. Mix until the carbaryl particles are in the 1-3 \um range with at least 95% <= 3 \um range. When using a ball mill, approximately 5 h of grinding time is required to achieve the desired particle size. Add the "Kelzan" and mill for 15 min or until completely dissolved. |
