Combine the oleic acid, "Union Carbide" L-45 (1000 cSt), carnauba wax #3, and one-half of the mineral spirits in a container; heat with agitation to 90 C (194 F) until wax melts and a clear solution results.
Add morpholine with vigorous agitation to neutralize wax. Add "Ucar" Silicone AFL-40 to remainder of mineral spirits and combine with above ingredients at 90 C (194 F). Slurry the "Kaopolite" 1152 into the water.
Add the slurry to the hot solvent solution. Remove heat, and mix until paste polish reaches 55 C (131 F). Pour into containers.
Directions for Use: For best results, wash car first. Fold a clean, soft cloth into a convenient pad. Apply polish using a circular motion. Allow to dry to a haze. Wipe with a clean, dry cloth using a circular motion. |
