Soft Polishing Wax Paste |

This formula results in a smooth white creampaste with excellent
application properties and gloss on wood and "Formica". It can be used
for shoe polishes (clear or dyed), auto polishes furniture creams paste
floor polishes kitchencabinet waxes, and plastic-mold release agents.
The distinguishing feature of this system is the incorporation of a high
percentage of water in a solvent polish without the presence of any
emulsifier

Dissolve the waxes in the mineral spirits by heating to 200F.
Reduce the temperature of the solution to 180F while agitating. Add the water at 180F with stirring. Continue stirring while reducing the temperature of the mixture to 120F. At 120F pour the mixture into suitable cans and allow to stand undisturbed for good paste formation.
To make black shoe polish, add to the above 2 parts "Excelsior" black and 0.5 calco nigrosine base Z-1630, which should first be dissolved in an equal quantity of stearic acid (double-pressed). |
