To prepare a 15% solids emulsion of "Co-Wax" and water, heat the watr to 180-210F, melt "Co-Wax", and slowly pour the molten wax into the heated water with vigorous agitation. Cool the emulsion to room temperature. Stir in Union Carbide LE-461 and LE-462 silicone emulsion(s) and the remaining water. Add foaming agents, perfumes, etc.
as desired.
Spray-and-wipe formulations should be packed in extruded, enameled, tin plate cans. Use a "Precision" valve with 0.080 in. nylon body, 0.030-in.
nylon stem, buna-N gasket, and a "Precision" reverse-taper mechanical breakup actuator (0.016-in.). Aerosol with 5% by weight isobutane propellant or 7 to 10% by weight of a 60/40 mix of "Ucon" 114/12 Propellant.
For use, spray light film on surface or on dust cloth, and wipe with circular motion until dry. Avoid over-application. (Polish film is slippery; therefore, use caution to prevent over-spray from falling on floor or stairs.) |
