Warm one-half of total water to 55C. While moderately agitating the water, charge borax. When solubilized, slowly add the "CELLOSIZE" QP-09-H and continue to stir until solution clears. Add remaining water, formaldehyde and LE-463, in that order.
Aerosol the finished fabric finish, formulation in a lined can with 5 weight percent "UCON" isobutane propellant.
This in contrast to starch which stiffens the garment, have the primary purpose of imparting body without stiffness. The end result desired from the fabric finish is to lend a "like new" appearance to washable garments. |
