The removal of "Stymer" RT-1300 size from greige goods can be accomplished by the following method: Pass two ends of fabric through hot water (175-185F. containing 0.1% non-ionic surfactant. Follow with a thorough rinse in warm water.
Fabrics containing grease or dirt may be scoured with the addition of 1.5 lbs. TSPP/100 gals. to the above batch. Again, thorough rinsing with warm water is recommended.
In general, the normal scouring procedures used for the removal of synthetic acetate warp sizes may be followed. |
