Meter water (Part A) into a compounding vessel, add aloe vera, mix and begin heating to 80 C. In a separate vessel, prepare Part B by heating propylene glycol. Add parabens and, when dissolved, add to water phase (Part A). Water must be above 60 C. Prepare Part C by combining all ingredients in a separate vessel and heating to 80 C. Methocel polymer can be added with no prewetting. At 80 C combine with batch and mix for 5 min. Add Part D to batch and begin to cool. Add color (Part E). Add perfume oil (Part F) when batch is below 45 C. Add Part G (dissolved Dowicil 200 antimicrobial) when batch is below 45 C. Sprinkle in polyethylene beads and mix well. |
